Setting up nameservers (DNS) will be different depending on which registrar you have decided to use. Town Bridge Communications recommends godaddy or namecheap because they are straight forward and easy to use. GODADDY.COM: To change your name servers on godaddy.com you do the following: 1. Login to your godaddy.com account. 2. Click the Domains> My domain names (located in the main navigation at the top of the site) 3. Click on the domain you want to edit. 4. Once the page has loaded, look towards the top of the site just below the navigation and click the "name servers" button. 5. You should then see a new page with 3 tabs, click "Custom nameservers" if you whish to use the name servers provided by a web host then several text fields should appear. The main ones are Nameserver 1 and 2. In the two main fields put the following Nameserver 1: ns1.townbridgecom.com Nameserver 2: ns2.townbridgecom.com ------------------------------------------------------------------ NAMECHEAP.COM To change your name servers on namecheap.com you do the following: 1. Login to your namecheap.com account. 2. Click the "Manage domains" link located to the left of the main navigation on the site. 3. Click on the domain you want to edit. 4. Once the page has loaded, if you look to the left of the page, under General you will see a link "Click Transfer DNS to webhost" Click it. Once you have done that, some text fields should appear in the middle of the page. In the first two text fields put the following Nameserver 1: ns1.townbridgecom.com Nameserver 2: ns2.townbridgecom.com Nameservers will be different per hosting provider, all hosting companies should provide you the name servers in the welcome email. If you have not received them, contact your hosting provider and i am sure they will be more then happy to provide you with the correct name servers.
